What Is Your Favorite Shooting Range?

I've been checking out different ranges lately and I'd love to hear from you all. What's your favorite shooting range, and what makes it stand out for you? Is it the location, the vibe, or maybe the staff?

my fave is mine. I can either shoot from my porch, or from a covered bench area at the trap range on the ranch I work on. Target backers at 100 and 200 yds. Steel gongs every 100 to 1000, and a 1250, 1500 and 1760 yarder.

other times you can play with live targets. this'un is at the 500....

absolutely love Cheyenne Mountain, in the Springs. Up in Northern Colorado, there are a couple. Great Guns, Nunn, if you want trap, skeet, sporting clays, rifles to 300 yards. For longer range rifle, Rocky Mountain Sportsman, Briggsdale, but hey have far fewer shotgun options. Indoor range (handgun) Rocky Mountain Shooters Supply, Fort Collins.

I have a 1000 yard range in my pasture. I do enjoy going to Colorado Clays. Trap is probably my favorite shooting sport.

Bears Ears Sportsman Club, Cedar Mtn Range, In Craig, CO about 5 miles out of town. Six separate shooting bays and steel targets out to 400 yards.

Having my own shooting range right behind my house has always been a dream. I have come to realize that the dream was just that —a mental fantasy.
My favorite range used to be the Clear Creek County Sportsman's Club outdoor range near Idaho Springs. After 60 years as an independent, club shooting range, the county did not renew the lease, and the Club no longer has a range. The county has plans to develop a public range there, but it hasn't happened yet.
I was able to take my black powder traditional muzzleloaders, historic battle rifles, and personal protection pistols there. Now, I have to drive from Golden, CO to Ft. Lupton, CO to use their muzzleloader ranges.
I shouldn't complain. At least there is a range I can go to for black powder shooting.

I too like Ft Lupton for muzzle loader. Plus they have a few get together every month and the Colorado State Muzzle Loaders Association (CSMLA) Puts on events there.

For modern stuff it's Golden Gun Club at Watkins. If you are in the metro area it's worthwhile to become a member.
