This forum looks promising. Perhaps connections can be made to go shooting together.
I shoot both modern and traditional black powder firearms. I particularly enjoy shooting my Revolutionary War flintlocks. But, with the closure of the Clear Creek County Sportsman's Club, I must drive up to Ft. Lupton and shoot on the Ft. Lupton Muzzleloader group range. I still take pleasure in shooting my revolvers, pistols, and rifles. Another focus I have is collecting and shooting historic battle rifles. I've been on the range with Swiss K31 rifles, Swedish rifles from WWII, Finnish M38 rifles from the Winter War, German k98 rifles, Springfield 1903 and 1903A3, Eddystone 1917, British Lee-Enfields from WWI and II, M1 Garand, M1 Carbine, etc.
Looks like my hunting days are over. Long-term sports training has taken its toll on my back. A back operation and a 10-inch titanium rod have enabled me to walk again, but only with the aid of hiking sticks. But it won't stop me from shooting.
I'm retired from the faculty at Colorado School of Mines and from two universities in South Africa, where I spent at least one month each year from 1999 to 2016.
