I had a red dot ready to go but left it in the bag and ran the full two-day course on irons. It sharpened my fundamentals in ways I didn’t expect and forced me to slow down and be deliberate. If you run a dot, spend time on irons, it pays off.
Going back to irons really makes you slow down in a good way. Then when you switch back to a red dot, everything feels easier because you’ve already sharpened the basics.
I did something similar last year, and it completely changed how I shoot. Going back to a red dot after using iron sights for a while makes everything feel easier and more under control.
