The suppressor wait taught me something about patience I did not want to learn

I filed the paperwork, paid the tax and started waiting. By the time it finally came through, I had almost forgotten what I was so excited about in the first place. The suppressor itself is absolutely worth it. The process is not. It really does need reform but until that happens, it is best to start the process as early as you can.

Th process for a suppressor is the same wait one goes through to get a Firearms Owner ID Card in my home state of New Jersey. So you can buy and possess a .22 rifle. Sobering thought....

Just file the paperwork and then completely forget about it. I actually built an entire second rifle while I was waiting for my first suppressor to clear. By the time it finally showed up, I honestly barely remembered why I even wanted it in the first place. The whole system's broken, no doubt but that whisper pickle, as they call it, really is worth all the absurdity.

I bought 3, one then two. Yes, it's a wait,. and the first one was with the $200 obeisance to the memory of FDR. Bu as Trigga says, it's worth it.

How long did yours take to get and when did you apply?

I bought one in October and it took 42 HOURS to get my tax stamp and to start using it

a buddy of mine bought one in late January and it took 10 days. A bit longer once the tax stamp $$ went away.

I bought my latest two after the post-$200-tax frenzy. So it was a wait due to backlog.
