Remington 700 inspiration

Started working on a rifle project that shifted gears midway and now I’m left with a bare Remington 700 short action. Before I make any decisions, I’d love to know what builds you would recommend.

A 6.5 Creedmoor or a .308 for a precision/hunting crossover. They’re super easy to build and tune, and you can get them incredibly accurate without having to search for rare parts. But if I’m looking for something with a bit more flair, I’d definitely lean towards the 7mm-08.

I’ll admit, there’s always a little voice in my head that wants to convert one into a .223 trainer with a heavy barrel. It’s cheap, fun to shoot, and you’ll end up using it way more than you’d expect.
