Potato Salad Tips for My Dad’s 70th

I need some help with a potato salad for my dad's 70th birthday party. He's serving burgers, so I want something that goes well with that. I don't make potato salad often, so I'm looking for ideas or favorite recipes you all might have. Also, any tips on keeping mayo-based salads cold for an outdoor party? Trying to avoid store-bought if I can. Thanks for any suggestions.

The only thing I can say, is add onions and make sure it sits for 24 hours before serving. The taste difference is between night and day.

made this one, yesterday, along with smoked and barbecued ribs, for my wife's 60th. Great recipe! The only way it would have been tastier, would be to make it 24 hours, in advance.
