Happy to join up here and keep up on what's happening in Colorado. I was born in the Springs, but spent my adult life as a paramedic in the Seattle area. Moved back here a few years ago after retirement. We have been living up above Horsetooth near Fort Collins, but just bought a house near Red Feather Lakes in order to have a little property. Looking forward to the conversations here.

Welcome Keith! It’s great to see you back in Colorado after all this time. The Red Feather area is nice. You definitely chose a fantastic spot. Thanks for being a part of the forum and we really appreciate your service in EMS. Have you had the chance to do much shooting in the Seattle area, or is Colorado giving you more chances to get out there? Feel free to jump into any conversation. We’ve got some really interesting discussions happening!

I was a member of Seattle Police Athletic Association and would shoot pistol and 100 yard rifle there. I was also out at Nisqually Sportsmen's in Eatonville where I could go to 600 yards. For years I could go up into the National Forest and shoot, but people didn't take care of the casual ranges, so most of them got shut down. Here I've been shooting at Pawnee Sportsmen's where I go out to 1000. I'll be looking to see if there's anywhere in the Red Feather Area I can at least shoot pistols. That would save me a trip to Ault.

My family use to camp at West Lake, near Red Feather Lakes, when the kids were young. (20+ years ago) Now its seemingly impossible to reserve a spot in the campground.
