Shooting and reloading is my hobby. Did pistol competition during the 2000's and somewhat in the 2010's. Got interested in precision rifle with some long distance steel. Trying out some short range benchrest. My screen name comes from the pistol competition days.

You've been doing competition shooting? Then you’re going to love precision rifle. It’s like slowing your brain down on purpose. A different kind of pressure, but it's just as addictive.

I think I would like to try precision rifle but my body wouldn't like it. I have an artificial knee and hip making the range of motion limited. Plus I'm an old guy who would probably get tired out carrying all the gear between stages.

Funny stuff getting old. I am facing the same but still enjoy laying on my fat belly and shooting steel far away. If you are up for some belly shooting let me know as I get out at least once a month. I also have a few replaced joints, and this will probably be my last year of any matches if I can make the trek’s with gear.

Welcome aboard, it sounds like you’ve covered half the shooting sports already. Benchrest will happily consume the rest of your free time
