I timed myself for the first time with a shot timer and expected somewhere around 1.5 seconds but I got 2.8. I stood there genuinely surprised and that number motivated three months of serious dry fire practice. Always measure before you assume.

My fastest, timed by a friend, from beep to shot was 1.25. Using a Kahr CW9 from a, under-shirt Vedder IWB holster.

Good on you for fixing it instead of making excuses.

Using a timer is honestly humbling. The first time I tried one, I realized my reloads were way slower than I thought. Seeing those numbers really changes how you practice.
