Hello everyone,
Just call me DB for this forum.
I enjoy shooting, hunting, reloading. I really like to shoot long range and shoot to 1000 yards regularly. Came in handy this year because both animals I took hunting were farther than I would like to admit. But always game for local guys to find new places or make trades. I like to talk shop with rifles, calibers, techniques, optics, reloading, hunting, etc...

Hey DB, welcome! It’s always a pleasure to have another long-range shooter join us. Shooting at 1000 yards consistently is quite an achievement! You must have your system really dialed in if you’re taking game at that range. What distances are you typically shooting those animals? There are plenty of folks here who love to geek out over calibers, optics, and load development.

It was 756 yards on my elk, and 716 yards on my Aoudad. I have scopes with turrets and a kestrel for environmentals to make those shots. I would prefer taking shots 300 or less but you do what you got to do.
