Duty pistols improvements

Considering what’s been shared up to this point, do duty pistols show real improvements, or are the updates mostly just for show?

I have carried old and new duty pistols, the big jump for me was how reliable they are with lights and optics. Other than that, it's just small upgrades instead of big changes.

I think the improvements are real but subtle. Better ergonomics, slides ready for optics and more reliable magazines make a difference over time, even if it’s not immediately obvious on paper.
