Fixing a bad trigger habit took longer than I expected

For a long time, I was slapping the trigger instead of pressing it smoothly. I did not realize it until someone pointed it out and I actually watched my finger while practicing. It took a lot of time to correct because I had built that habit over years and it is a good reminder to build good habits early.

Bad trigger habits are stubborn. You don’t notice them for years, then spend twice as long unlearning what felt normal.

That's a sneaky little habit to pick up. It's subtle and sometimes it even works just well enough that you don't even notice you're doing it. But if you catch it early on, you'll save yourself years of trying to unlearn it later.
