Last weekend I finally pushed myself out to 600 yards at my local range. It took a few rounds to walk it in, but once I settled down, it felt amazing hearing that steel ring, it is a whole different ball game compared to 100 or 200 yards. How far have you stretched it, and what setup were you running?

Good stuff! My longest was 550 yards with a .308 and a 6-18x scope. It took a few zeroing shots too, but that first hit on steel at distance is such a rush, totally addictive.

One quiet, calm morning several years ago, I nailed the 10" gong from 1020 yards with my chassis'd Savage 110 in .308 using Federal Gold Match 175 grain h.p.b.t. ammunition. Actually, I hit it seven times out of ten attempts with five of those being consecutive hits. I was quite pleased with myself that morning, to say the least.
