Hi all. I'm putting together a home defense plan and I could really use some advice from y'all. Appreciate the space.

A few years ago, a neighborhood near us, multiple homes were "invaded" by a gang of "yoots" (use your imagination) who were carrying Glocks equipped with night sights. The break-in was caught on multiple Ring doorbells. Most of us rely on our front door deadbolt lock; they jimmied them and waltzed in, looking for cash, credit cards and car keys. An Air Force major I know, and her husband got one of the perps on nanny cam standing in their bedroom doorway at 3AM, looking at them sleeping, pistol in hand - kids sleeping in the next room. They lost cash, cards and two cars.

Install a Blink system and set it to alarm if a person enters the zone. I am barely technical and for ~$300 from Amazon, did it myself. Make it a nightly ritual to install a door jamb bar on the front door every night. In our house, if they can't get in the front, they will have to break a window or patio door lock and the dogs will hear, and this is after they trigger the Blink.

Then, there's the last line of defense....since I took this pic, I have added a suppressed G19 with Surefire X300 and RMR. There's a Streamlight-equipped Mossberg 590A1 in the mix as well.
