I'm in need of a trustworthy gunsmith in the area for some repairs and possibly a trigger job. If you've worked with someone who did a great job, please share their info!

I wish more folks would include there location when requesting help, it's a big state.

Know for his custom rifle builds, I've heard his name mentioned from Texas to Wyo. on my travels. I spent a lot of time at gun ranges while exploring the west in my RV.
He was located in Denver when he did work for me but he recently moved his shop to Larkspur CO

Actually Lark Spur dropped off stuff yesterday for a custom build. He is by appointment only

Any recommendations in the Grand Junction area? Simple stuff like barrel threading.
Have you tried Redhawk Rifles? Also for barrel threading Silencer Central offers that for a reasonable price.

If you're around Denver try Homeland Gunsmithing, Pete used to have his shop 20 miles from me. He moved to Bennet, CO to live closer to his grandchildren. He did a couple of small jobs for me, and his work I've seen has been top notch.

If you're around Colorado Springs, you can try High Tech Customs. I've owned two of his rifles and both were sub moa shooters. He's a little slow at times with his work, but he builds an accurate rifle. He's much faster if you have all the parts on hand when you take him your project.

My rifles were a custom .338-06 on 1903A3 action and a .25-06 on a Zastava M98 action. They were both a little heavier than I liked to carry, so when I got decent offers for them I let someone else enjoy them. The .25-06 weight was entirely my fault as it was my first custom and I went with a 26" #5 Lilja contour. It was my first custom build and I made a few mistakes.
