Here is a shameless plug for my wife and her first run for elected office, and she'd love your encouragement for the 2026 election as Bent County Clerk and Recorder. She's worked most of her adult life in media (radio and tv) and most recently Communications Coordinator at the local REA until they got a new CEO and the cooperative restructured.
She also runs her own local news website Colorado News Your Way (CNYW) where she focuses on State legislation, agriculture, water rights, and other Arkansas Valley news in the eastern part of the state. It's a project of love, and a hobby of hers for the last 4-5 years.
While her news reporting remains impartial, she's a staunch Republican, firm supporter of 2A. She's tired of the direction CO is hell bent on taking. While Clerk and Recorder is an non-partisan office, it is an important one for elections.
