I use the most temp stable powders I can find. They all change a little bit with large temperature swings, but you don't want wide swings. Elevation doesn't change the burn rate, air density is what's affecting your DOPE more than anything. Bullets are slower at lower elevations than higher, as they have to plow through denser air. Same goes for early morning vs. mid day and evening, bullets are slower in cold denser air than warmer less dense air.
Use a good ballistic app that allows you to change elevation and temps then you'll be close. Get to your hunting or competition a day or two early and find a place to shoot a few rounds and fine tune your dope. You'll also have time to acclimate to the higher elevations especially if coming from sea level to hunt the high country.
